Domain
Just Peachie.org is my personal domain. Previously located at Girlish-Allure.net, I felt a change was in
order. Think of the domain as a place where I can record my thoughts, rather like an open diary. I'm not
one for writing a diary by hand, especially when online I can incorporate media for others to enjoy.
As far as my style goes, it is varied. I have no one particular style in my opinion. What I look for in
my designs is mostly functionality. A sidebar is a must for me, I like to include small tidbits about
the books I'm reading, music I listen to, and what I'm doing that day. Plus, occasionally I throw in
a random quote I like.
I've been working with web design since I was 7 years old essentially. I made my start through Geocities because
I knew nothing about actual HTML at the time. Slowly as a sort of project I learned my way around the code. Now
I do all my coding by hand, though I'm learning programs like Dreamweaver for the professional world. My aspirations
include making my living as a web developer.
Having browsed the internet for years I've seen many sites that I want to mirror, but with my own style. I officially
bought my first domain several years ago. I bought a hosting package and everything. My first domain was at Girlish-
Intrigue.net and then Girlish-Allure.net as my latest. You can see I had a thing for the word "girlish." Now I've moved
on yet again to Just Peachie.org, a phrase I've always used but never thought of using as a domain name. Go figure!
Hosting
Currently I purchase my domain and hosting through e-Starr.com. Their fair pricing and free domain with yearly hosting
package purchase keeps me going for little money. Also, they offer totally customizable plans. Little down time
and great service keep me coming back for more each year. I simply renew my package and domain each year when due.
